Why doesn't a new screenshot appear right away?
iOS doesn't let any app see a screenshot the moment you take it in another app. Kapture checks your library every time you open it, and from time to time in the background. Pull down on Library to check now.
Kapture says it can only see some photos.
That banner means Photos access is set to Limited. Choose Manage in the banner, or open iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › Kapture Shots and pick Full Access.
How do I change when the digest arrives?
Kapture › Settings › Daily digest › Time. It starts at 7:00 pm. Turn off Digest notification to stop the reminder. Kapture sends one notification a day at most, and none on a day with nothing new.
Where do deleted screenshots go?
iOS asks you to confirm, then moves them to Recently Deleted in the Photos app for 30 days. You can recover them from there until then.
Search can't find a screenshot.
Search covers the text Kapture recognized and each summary, and a screenshot is searchable once Kapture has processed it. On a big library the first pass runs newest first and shows its progress on Library. Settings › Storage › Re-scan library runs it again.
What does Kapture Pro add?
Smart actions for detected links, email addresses, phone numbers, map addresses and codes, plus Auto and Manual sorting. It's a one-time purchase ($4.99 in the US) from Settings › Upgrade to Kapture Pro.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Does anything get uploaded?
No. Text recognition, summaries and sorting all run on your iPhone, and there is no account or server. Details in the privacy policy.
How do I remove all of Kapture's data?
Delete the app. That removes its local database. Your screenshots stay in Photos unless you deleted them in Kapture.
